Tibisor Gheza is well-known for his contributions to the Manele and folk genres, often blending traditional Romanian rhythms with modern sentimental storytelling. "Merg pe drum, oftez si plang" is a quintessential example of this style, featuring:

The Romanian musical landscape is rich with deep emotion, and few tracks capture the essence of "dor" (longing) and heartache as poignantly as Tibisor Gheza's "Merg pe drum, oftez si plang." This song, whose title translates to "I walk on the road, I sigh and I cry," has become a staple for fans of the Ardeal region's party and folk-inspired music. The Sound of Heartache

While many know Gheza for upbeat party hits like "Bomba din Ardeal," this track reveals a more introspective side of the artist. It has resonated across generations, appearing in various live recordings and live compilations, such as his 2017 performance with Percea Mondialu .

Often led by the violin or accordion, the music mirrors the vulnerability in the lyrics.

Gheza’s delivery is known for its grit and sincerity, a hallmark of the Viper Production style he is frequently associated with.

The song explores the solitude of a broken heart and the literal and metaphorical journey of moving forward while carrying past pain. A Legacy in the Ardeal Scene

IYTTIW sample set

IYTTIW stands for "If You Think This Is Weird". A very unique set based on original trumpet samples. Its diminutive size packs a big sound. Perfect on its own or for doubling other sounds. I played and recorded some trumpet and made samples from the performance. I then resynthesized the samples to alter their timbral and spectral quality. In some, you can still hear the trumpet and there are others where their origin is well hidden.

It was originally a commercial set that is now free. It contains 41 regular multi-sampled programs without velocity. All are short sounds, no pads here. It's very well-suited for staccato playing and sequencing.

It has 551 samples for a small size of 15.7 MB and is offered in the following formats: wav, sfz, soundfont, Native Instruments Kontakt 3.5 or better (full version, not the free Player).

All formats are in this single DOWNLOAD

Kontakt 3.5 version additionally has 21 multis and 50 instruments made with the Tone and Time machines that greatly expand its sound palette. These stretched instruments usually have longer durations than the basic samples, 14 of them with sustain.

Here's an audio example using a few samples with pitch randomization:  IYTTIW in QuadZamp
