Bryan invites his ex-wife, Lenore, and daughter, Kim, to join him for a vacation in Turkey. However, Murad’s mercenaries are already positioned. While Bryan and Lenore are out for a drive, they are ambushed. Bryan realizes they are being followed.

The film opens in Albania, where Murad Hoxha, the father of the sex trafficker Bryan killed with electricity in the first film, mourns at his son's grave. He swears a blood oath of vengeance. Unlike the first film's random villains, Murad is driven by a personal, grieving rage. He tracks Bryan to Istanbul, where Bryan is working a private security detail. the trap in istanbul

Bryan eventually corners Murad. In a moment of weary reflection, Bryan offers Murad a chance: walk away and end the cycle of violence, or die. Murad chooses to try and kill Bryan, forcing Bryan’s hand. The cycle ends with Murad’s death, and the family is finally reunited, though forever changed by the trauma.
