In this episode, Earl attempts to cross off , "stole a badge from a police officer". The plot follows Earl and Randy as they track down Stuart Daniels, the officer whose badge they stole years earlier during a bowling alley scam. Upon finding Stuart, Earl discovers that the theft led to the officer's demotion to a highway rest stop guard. Earl then devises a plan to help Stuart get his job and dignity back.
