The episode tracks forward in time. Half of Jaya is blasted into the sky by the Knock Up Stream. Noland returns to find the city of gold missing and is subsequently executed by his king as a liar. He dies without ever knowing his friend survived or where the island went.

The Shandia village initially banishes the explorer Mont Blanc Noland because his crew chopped down their sacred ancestor trees. In this episode, Mousse reveals to her father, Kalgara, that the trees were actually infected with "Tree Fever" and were cut down strictly to save the village from extinction. Upon learning the truth, Kalgara races to the shore to apologize. As Noland sails away, Kalgara vigorously rings the Golden Bell and screams out that they will meet again. Both weep and promise to reunite. The episode tracks forward in time
