Install a zipper foot on your sewing machine to allow stitching close to the teeth.

Switch to a basting stitch (long, temporary stitch) to close the remaining opening, and press the entire seam allowance open. Installation: Setting the Zipper lb.zip

Open the zipper. With the garment wrong-side up, place the upside-down zipper (head facing down) over the seam allowance, aligning the teeth perfectly with the seam line. Install a zipper foot on your sewing machine

If needed, create secure bottom stops by stitching across the zipper teeth multiple times to prevent the pull from coming off. lb.zip
