The transmission cut out. Kiteretsu and Korosuke looked at each other in shock. Miyoko was their best friend; if she was calling for help tomorrow, they had to prevent it from happening today.
"It's happening!" Korosuke cried. "Just like the Echo-Phone said-nari!"
Back at Kiteretsu’s house, Miyoko bandaged her scraped knee while the kitten lapped up some milk."I guess the future isn't set in stone," Kiteretsu mused, looking at the now-broken Echo-Phone. "It only told us what could happen so we had the chance to change it."
Just as the kitten slipped through a crack in the door, Miyoko arrived, having felt uneasy about Kiteretsu's warning. She saw the kitten and, without thinking, chased after it. Creeaaaak—CRASH!
"Imagine, Korosuke!" Kiteretsu exclaimed, adjusting his glasses. "We can hear tomorrow’s weather, the news, or even what we'll be having for dinner!"
