Fed up with his status as the "spare" prince, Edmund fires his loyal but dim-witted companions, Percy and Baldrick. He then sets out to recruit the six most "evil" men in the kingdom—The Seven Most Evil Men in the Kingdom (including himself)—to help him overthrow his father, King Richard IV. The Plot Highlights:

As Edmund lies dying, he watches as his father and the rest of the court accidentally consume the poison anyway. In the final scene, the entire royal family is dead, and the throne is left vacant, paving the way for the different historical setting of the second season.
